I'm a big, strong boy!!
How big are you?? You were 15 lbs at your 9 week appointment!!! The good news is you are healthy in every way! You are always hungry though so with the doctor's approval, you are now eating cereal twice a day (your sister, the textbook baby, did not have cereal until she was 4 mths old but I guess every baby is different). You are smiling and "cooing" alot more lately and you love to follow Mommy's voice.
How strong are you? You are very strong; not only can you hold your head up while on your tummy, you are able to push yourself up using your forearms and stay there!
Your sister Maggie continues to adore you. Her first question every morning is "Where Nammy Mom?" (which replaced "Where Daddy Mom?") and she tells me "Nammy yucky bum Mom" when she smells "it". She also ensures you are included in everything. For example, if I say, "Go put your shoes on Maggie, you and Mom are going to the store", she responds with "Me and Mommy go store....and Nammy too?"
I feel I should mention too that your Dad & I and your Uncle Mike have made a life changing decision since our last post; we've purchased Jester's Court Restaurant on Queen Street in Fredericton. Daddy is very busy but somehow makes time for us and we go in to visit him as often as possible.
It's hard to believe you are 10 weeks old tomorrow. In one way, it seems like you were born just yesterday and in another, it feels like you've always been here. That reminds me of the card I received from my good friend Sacha; it brought me to tears. Here is what it says:
Someday, he'll be a big-time movie star
or a fifth grade English teacher.
Someday, he'll marry, have a few kids,
Maybe he won't.
Someday, he'll change the world as we know it.
Or maybe he'll travel
send postcards from China, phone you from Paris.
Someday, he's going to be a big, strong man
able to carry you in his arms.
One day, he'll have his own hopes and dreams
not knowing that once upon a quiet time, you closed your eyes
and made a wish to one day
have him in your life.

We love you very much Sammy.
